SAN DIEGO COMIC CON

San Diego Comic Con is every year in July.  And yes, I know it's October, but whatever!  This is my blog.  So here are my highlights from the con.

My boyfriend and I only went to Comic Con on Saturday ((it's a 4 day long convention)).  So we traveled by train from Los Angeles to San Diego, and went there and back in the same day.

At the last minute, I decided I really wanted to dress up.  So I bought a Wonder Woman costume ((I loved the new movie!)).  It was such a different experience going to Comic Con in costume.  A lot of people asked for pictures including one little girl who was also dressed like Wonder Woman - this totally made my day.

I also love see other people's cosplay.  I'm always amazed at how creative and skilled some people are with their costumes!

My boyfriend and I also love to look at all of the artwork in Artist Alley.  There are so many amazing and talented artist who attend each year.  It was really great to talk to them and look through their portfolios.

My one qualm with SD Comic Con is that the lines for panels are so long it is practically impossible to get in.  I actually met a guy who said him and his friends were planning to wait in line on Thursday for a panel on Saturday!  That's crazy.  There's no way I'm ever doing that - I like my sleep too much.  So unfortunately I didn't get to attend any of the panels, but there were plenty of other things to do.

Overall, it was a great day!  I would definitely recommend going multiple days if you can; one day is just not enough.  We already have our tickets for next year, and I'm counting down the days!  Maybe I should start thinking of my next costume now, so I don't wait until the last minute.

Have you been to any of the Comic Cons?  What's your favorite part of going?  Also - do you have any cosplay ideas for me to do next year?  Let me know in the comments below!

  2. Wow you look so beautiful as Wonder Woman! I've been to cons before but never in a costume, I can imagine it would be a really different experience! One year I'll have to dress up.
